Remember to stay hydrated!
During the warmer months, anyone can feel unwell if they get too hot, however, some people are at higher risk of becoming seriously unwell, including older adults.
One reason for this is dehydration, which can be easily prevented by drinking enough fluids throughout the day. The recommendation for adults is at least 1.5 to 2 litres of fluid a day (6 to 8 glasses or mugs), unless advised otherwise for medical reasons.
Dehydration can lead to complications such as urinary tract infections and can even increase your risk of falls.
