Support for carers

It is important that carers receive support, such as regular breaks from their caring role, so they can look after their own health and wellbeing and continue in their caring role for as long as they choose.

Do you provide unpaid care to a friend or relative who could not live independently without your support? You may benefit from some advice and support from Knowsley Carers Hub.

A carer doesn't always see themselves as a 'carer' and may feel unsure about accessing the support and information that is available to them. Also, it is important to ensure that the person caring, and the person being cared for, are in receipt of the benefits they are entitled to.

The Knowsley Carers' Hub provides a single point of access for adult carers who care for someone of any age who lives in Knowsley or is registered with a Knowsley GP. The Hub provides information, advice and guidance on a range of matters such as carers assessments, benefits and entitlements and carer health and wellbeing.
